Interactive Performance

GOGI DANCE COLLECTIVE

Experience sculpture come to life in an immersive performance with Mimi Dennett's sculpture 'Scuttle'

Gogi Dance Collective is a collective of three female contemporary dance artists and choreographers based in Australia.
Connect, explore and collaborate with other artists across multiple disciplines to create artworks which enrich and educate Australian art culture. The collective´s characteristic is the creation of interactive site specific works which engage and involve the audience in fun and original ways.

The Gogi Dance Performers entwine and twist amongst Ingrid Morley's sculpture 'Over the Divide' bringing it to life in an engaging performance.

"I can move rope around, like a finger on a map. I can touch it and create forms with it, however it has its own language.  It grows old, carries its own story within itself and contributes this to its surroundings." Ingrid Morley

LABYRINTH WALK
VENTURE PARK
Walking for meditation.
Unlike a maze, the path has no deadends and does not split or divert.
There is one single path that leads from the outside and winds its way to the centre.

The spiraling path of the labyrinth creates space for reflection, contemplation and the opportunity for mind-body to simply let go. When stress gets lodged in our bodies, it can feel easier to ‘walk it out’ and the gentle music will help pacify your nervous system as you do so.
Music as Meditation can be meditation in action.

CORINA BONSHEK
A long-term meditator and nature enthusiast, Corina has created several music-art collaborative works sometimes in unconventional settings. The most recent of these is Journey to the Centre for Centennial Park Sydney’s new public labyrinth.
This audio work (featuring nature sounds by Wild Ambience) can be heard by streaming or downloading the audio onto your mobile phone.

The Rhythm Divine called  The Labyrinth meditation (available as a download)

Composer Corrina Bonshek uses long pauses, gently unfolding harmonies like waves on a pond to capture the listener’s attention while giving them space to be.

Audiences at Brunswick Nature Sculpture Trail 2018 can experience the tranquility of this heartfelt music whilst walking the path of the festival labyrinth between September 28 and Oct 2, 2018.

Take a listen to her labyrinth music here and experience it on the labyrinth at Brunswick Heads NSW

SUSPENSE - Alison Allcock

"Humans are one of earth’s least endangered species, not reliant on their immediate environment for food, shelter or physical needs. However, we live in a time of mass extinctions, pollution and climate change. We can no longer survive without modifying our surroundings, even though human impact may leave us caught in a trap of our own making".

IKIRA SCULPTURE - Philip Relf
