SCAPE Public Art installs free-to-view contemporary public art in Central Christchurch NZ, engaging the community through exciting work that is celebrated around Aotearoa and the world.
Held in Christchurch’s central city and supported through a range of partnerships, showcasing leading national and international contemporary artists, and provide a springboard for emerging local talent.
This 2 hour workshop with Richard is an introduction to working in Public Art and understanding the complex areas of Site, History, Commissioning and being prepared for the unprepared.
The workshop will suit Artists wanting to explore the realm of Public Art, how it is different, what makes a successful commission and what does it bring to Communities.
There will be lots of information and opportunities for discussion and question time in a friendly informal environment.
